What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rotational Instrument Fitter position at Logic Control Systems?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument / Pneumatic Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing tubing and pipe systems that support instrumentation and control systems in industrial settings. The role requires a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Assembly: Install, assemble, and secure tubing and pipe systems, including connections for instruments and control systems, as directed by leadership.
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation and identify issues before they lead to system failures.
- System Testing: Conduct tests on pneumatic systems to ensure they meet performance specifications and safety standards.
- Tool and Equipment Use: Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to cut, bend, and fit tubing and pipes.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, regulations, and best practices. Ensure all work is performed with a strong emphasis on safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in pneumatics, hydraulics, or related fields preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the trade. Offshore experience preferred.
- Certifications: Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, OGUK Medical) required; certifications in pneumatics or industrial maintenance are a plus. If these are not currently held, they will be provided upon hire.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of tubing systems, components, and routing of tubing.
- Experience in planning routes for tray, fabricating tray and brackets, installing various types of control panels and associated components / systems.
- Ability to fabricate and install single or group tubing effectively.
- Mechanical and problem-solving skills a plus.
- Familiarity with related systems such as hydraulics and automation is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote, challenging environments.
Working Conditions:
- Schedule: 14 - 14 Offshore Gulf of Mexico
- Work in various weather conditions, including exposure to high winds, heavy machinery noise, and confined spaces.
- Physically demanding tasks may be required, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
