What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mathematics Teacher position at Logicus?
We're looking for teachers for in-person math instruction in Larchmont, NY. Most classes are on weekdays during after-school hours (after 3:00 pm), and some weekend classes. Classes are typically 1.5 hours long, and we aim to schedule multiple classes per evening/weekend for our teachers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons based on Logicus's curriculum and educational methodologies.
- Engage students with varied teaching techniques, ensuring understanding of concepts and encouraging interactive participation.
- Evaluate student performance through regular assessments.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on progress.
Compensation
The compensation for this role ranges from $70 to $100 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This includes class instruction, any breaks/time in-between classes, and preparation. Typically, teachers teach 1-3 1.5 hour classes per evening worked.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least a bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related STEM subject. We hold in high regard current Ph.D. students/graduates in these areas as well as those with an advanced degree in areas such as education. However, more than your qualifications, we value your passion for teaching and your ability to inspire our students.
