Job Overview:
The Client seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead the planning and administration of the Transitions to Community Living Initiative (TCLI). This role is pivotal in supporting the statewide effort mandated by the U.S. Department of Justice. The Project Director will serve as a senior-level member of the leadership team, providing strategic direction and project management for the entire program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day implementation of the TCLI settlement agreement, ensuring adherence to its objectives and timelines.
- Leadership: Act in the capacity of the Special Advisor on ADA in their absence, providing direction to managerial, professional, and support staff involved in TCLI and the Olmstead Plan.
- Goal Development: Collaborate with team leads and external partners to develop and achieve project goals and objectives.
- Resource Coordination: Manage a complex matrix of personnel and financial resources, ensuring efficient delivery of services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster involvement and cooperation among public and private sector components in the delivery system.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks while managing project scope, quality, and stakeholder communications.
- Documentation: Oversee the creation of all project-related documentation, including charters, schedules, and measures of success.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate project progress, manage issue resolution, and implement necessary corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 7 years of project management experience with large, complex automation implementation efforts in an Agile environment.
- Data Collection: Minimum 7 years of experience in data collection for goal development (highly desired).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to set goals, manage deadlines, and direct teams effectively.
- Decision-Making: Strong objective decision-making skills based on strategic priorities.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project and experience managing application acceptance testing.
- Healthcare Implementation: At least 7 years of experience managing healthcare implementation projects (highly desired).
- Knowledge of Regulations: General knowledge of ADA and the Olmstead Decision.
- Education: PMP certification or advanced degree in Business, Public Health, or Mental Health (highly desired)
Travel Requirements:
The position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the 100 counties in the state, including occasional overnight travel.
