- Safety Leadership: Demonstrated strong commitment to safety in operations and leadership.
- Education: High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in heavy-duty equipment management.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with friction, hydraulic, and mobile harbor cranes, including Manitowoc, Link-Belt, Kobelco, and Kone brands.
- Certifications: Crane inspection certification is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in operating and managing various crane types and attachments.
- Bilingual: English-Spanish proficiency is helpful but not required.
- Computer & Communication: Strong computer and communication skills are essential.
- Credentials: Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card is required.
- Environmental Exposure: Employee will be exposed to various outdoor environmental factors, including extreme heat, rain, wind, cold, and high humidity during both day and night shifts.
- Physical Activity: The role frequently requires standing, walking, climbing, bending forward, squatting, twisting, pinching, and reaching overhead.
- Dexterity: Employees may also need to reach forward, sit, grasp objects, and perform repetitive foot, wrist, and finger movements. Eye-hand and eye-hand-foot coordination may be required.
- Lifting Requirements: Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.
- Vision Requirements: Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Mechanical Exposure: Employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is continuously exposed to dust, fumes, and airborne particles.

- Safety Leadership: Ensure that all safety protocols and best practices are strictly followed.
- Job Site Oversight: Serve as the primary person responsible for job site safety, quality control, and project scheduling. Act as the onsite liaison with internal customers and vendors for all field activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead a diverse team of technicians, optimizing their efficiency and assignments across the fleet.
- Strategic Fleet Management: Develop and implement a long-term crane fleet management program.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high customer satisfaction by working closely with internal customers to confirm that equipment meets their needs and is available when required.
- Mentorship: Mentor team members in troubleshooting and maintaining cranes and other heavy industrial equipment.
- Project Management: Define, manage, and execute large-scale refurbishment projects.
- Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the go-to expert for all crane-related repairs, operations, and certifications.
- Preventative Maintenance: Track and ensure the proper execution of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Major Refurbishments & Certifications: Lead the implementation of significant equipment refurbishments and certifications.
- Training Development: Identify and develop necessary training programs for team members.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as required.
