- Install machinery and equipment.
- Repair, maintain and test machinery and mechanical equipment such as diesel/gasoline engines, yard trucks, forklifts, trailers, and paper clamps.
- Perform scheduled/unscheduled repairs on equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems to develop appropriate solutions.
- Use maintenance management software.
- Observe all OSHA and facility safety regulations, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain work areas.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED.
- At least three years of experience as a Diesel Maintenance Technician.
- Must possess your own basic tool set (socket set, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, etc.).
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance of equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend standard instructions, short correspondences and memos, including safety, instructional and procedural manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
- A team player.
- A valid driver’s license and eligibility to obtain a TWIC card through the Federal Transportation Security Administration.
