JOB PURPOSE
The Claims Analyst is responsible for administration of freight/damage claims according to the policy coverage.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee the incoming claims (mostly trucking) and daily management of the mailbox to ensure proper response time to the customer and internal employees.
- Daily correspondence to the customer and some investigation, report, and inspection of product losses.
- Create detailed reports for appropriate LDi employees.
- Maintain strong interaction with Credit and Accounting departments.
- Assist with coverage of absent teammates, as needed.
- Special projects as requested.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Associate degree is required.
- 3 years of relevant experience with claims.
- An eye for details and accuracy is imperative.
- Effective communication skills and strong positive customer service ability.
- Skilled in automated claims handling systems (paperless environment) with experience in the transportation/logistic industry is a plus.
