Logistic Distribution Warehouse is looking to bring on Warehouse Team Members, on a TEMP to PERMANENT basis. As a Warehouse Team Member, you will be an integral part of our logistics and distribution center operations, utilizing your core skills in packaging, order picking, and warehouse experience to ensure efficient and accurate handling of goods. Additionally, your relevant skills in heavy lifting and quality control will contribute to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Job description
- Pick, ship and receive merchandise.
- Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
- Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy.
- Reconciliation of cartons received with the delivery receipt.
- Review merchandise for damages.
- Report inventory discrepancies.
- Follow-up with Team Leader on all issues preventing the completion of committed tasks.
- Scan shipping labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
- Manage incoming deliveries to a warehouse by verifying and signing for shipments, storing the received items, and processing any returns.
- Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the Team Leader.
- Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse on shelving, bins, and overhangs according to company standards by properly unboxing and storing goods in their designated location.
- Ensure that merchandise is allocated properly in the bins.
- Accuracy in the pick and pack process for customer orders.
- Gather all pieces and cartons necessary for completing requests.
- Oversee that work area is kept clean and organized at all times and ensure that all team members follow the policies and procedures of the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School or GED diploma
- Computer literate
- Ability to work in a high volume, high pressure, deadline oriented environment
- Team player with strong work ethics, attention to detail and capable of following instructions
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to develop and cultivate effective work relationships in a team
- Must be proactive and exercise good judgment
- Able to bend, stoop and walk continuously and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are cumbersome and heavy
- Experience operating wave and/or forklift is a plus
- Must be proficient in English
- Bilingual is a plus
