Position Description: Asset Manager
Full Time: 40 hours per week
General Duty Description and Responsibilities
The asset manager assists the Lead Logistician (Warehouse Manager) and is responsible for receiving, inspecting the store equipment and distributing inventory. In the receiving cycle, he/she unloads trucks and count inventory. The Asset Manager ensures inventory and other materials are stored in a secure location. In the distribution of expendable supplies, the asset manager fulfills customer orders and place purchase requisitions for additional materials when necessary. Additionally, the asset manager assists in the establishment and monitoring of security procedures to maintain the safety of warehouse equipment and inventory. The asset manager core responsibility is to ensure stock reports, Inventories, disposal of Material and Equipment, Life-Cycle Management of material stored, and warranty management are done in an accurate and timely manner. He/she is responsible for timely submitting reports as required by the customer and our LSI management. The incumbent will oversee the supply and service programs for the warehouse and serviced activities, which include such functions as inventory management, warehouse and storage management, stock control requirements determination, receipt and issues of supplies. Analyzes the integrated management of ASL stock and contingency stock. Ensure proper types and amounts of supplies are available to support requirements. Reviews and updates the ASL, considering demand history, anticipated consumption, turnover rates, future requirements solicited from the customer, total package fielding, special projects, and funds availability. Analyzes and researches to determine authorizations, substitutes, and troubleshooting of problem areas. Reviews inventory on-hand, requisitioning objective, contingency stocks, and develops courses of action based on these conditions.
The asset manager will manage resources to promote economy and to ensure the timely application to satisfy programmed requirements and improve physical facilities associated with supply and logistics services and core functions listed below.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and management
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Knowledge of business mathematics.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- High School graduate associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have at least two (5) years of experience in performing warehousing/storage, inventory control, warehouse safety, regulations and required personal protective equipment.
- Must have at least two (5) years of experience that demonstrates working knowledge of the functions of supply automated data base systems, and ability to identify and adjust information, research and correct errors and discrepancies.
Able to obtain a valid Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) fork-lift operator's permit (4–6-ton forklift) if required for the performance
