Job Title: Lead Computer Systems Analyst SASMO

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: The Lead SASMO is responsible for management of the Personnel throughout Business Area 2 (BA-2). The Lead SASMO shall be responsible for the creation and currency of BA-2 processes documentation and reports. The Lead SASMO edits and maintains the existing USAR SASMO Smart Book. The book shall contain how-to process flows for all standard SASMO support activities, instructions and directions for support activities, troubleshooting guide, validating procedures and other information approved by the Lead SASMO, PM and KO/COR. The lead SASMO shall monitor and ensure the proper shipping processes are instituted and used. The Lead SASMO will coordinate with the USARC G-4 Transportation Branch for shipping training, processes and establish a shipping program. The shipping program will be used to move SIS between the customer and SASMO when applicable. The Lead SASMO will track USAR Service Desk customer tickets and assign regional SASMOs for action. They will also escalate exceptional problems to the PM and COR and document tickets opened and closed in the TSR. The Lead SASMO will ensure adequate training of BA-2 personnel and compliance of personnel as required by the contract and the program manager.
The Lead SASMO provides direct support to the U.S. Army in the Sustainment of USARC systems throughout their life cycle to include:
- Combat Service support Automated Information System Interface (CAISI), and Very Small Aperture Satellite (VSAT) and Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A)
- Set-up, configure, and install software updates and approved images and fielding of new systems and equipment.
- Complete quality checks and functionality tests.
- Process requests for issue of new systems upon unit level data migration.
- Provide units disposition for displaced legacy systems.
- Utilize the LOGSA, LIW, GCSS-A and USAFMSA website to validate data.
The SASMO Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for providing both client system, hardware, and software technical support, as well as upgrades to all customers within USARC, to include CAISI, and VSAT and GCSS-A. They will:
- Assist with maintaining hardware as needed to support client infrastructure and USARC software.
- Maintain knowledge base (including fielding documents for all hardware) and technical training bulletins.
- Ensure help desk tickets, when resolved, contain sufficient and correct verbiage along with appropriate documentation (training bulletins, work-arounds, End User’s Manual Plus (EUM ) links, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
- 7 years working knowledge and possess all requisite knowledge of a field SASMO
- IAT Level II certification
- Must be capable of working independently and capable of working critical issues until closure.
- Good communication skills and able to communicate with customers, support personnel, vendors, and higher level enterprise support to troubleshoot, adjust, repair, update, and modify networks and systems to ensure full operations.
