Job Summary: As a Fabricator I at LogistiQ, A Division of LEWCO, you will be a part of our Fabrication team. The ideal candidate will operate metalworking machinery to assist in the fabrication of company products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Performs set-ups and operates various types of machinery including but not limited to saws, lasers, press brakes, tube lasers, shears, and automated bend cells.
- Ensures quality of product by meeting engineering specifications.
- Completes mechanical assembly as instructed/trained.
- Programs machines to execute functions.
- Completes preventative maintenance tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to operate one to three different types of machinery.
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment and part configuration to ensure quality compliance with minimal assistance.
- Ability to flex to operate on trained machines when necessary.
- Understanding mechanical drawings preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools required.
- Understands angles and the use of a protractor preferred.
- Ability to read calibration equipment including but not limited to micrometers and calipers preferred.
- Able to pass math and measurements assessment.
- Ability to read a tape measure within 1/16”.
- Basic data entry computer skills and the ability to print documents.
- Company issued forklift and crane certifications may be required.
- Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.).
- Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Successful completion of 60-day probationary period.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year manufacturing machinery experience preferred.
