Job Summary: As the Inventory Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished goods throughout our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, storing, and tracking of materials. You will also be responsible for managing a team of inventory associates and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: including the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Manage implementation of inventory control systems.
- Implement best practices in cycle counting, ABC analysis, and forecasting.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance inventory management.
- Develop and manage inventory management reports and dashboards.
- Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Manage the storage and movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and efficient picking and packing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the inventory management system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortages.
- Implement and adhere to all safety and quality standards.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate reports on inventory levels and material readiness.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, engineering, and sales teams to ensure seamless material flow.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages Inventory Analysts and individual contributors in the Inventory department, including training and coaching.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles employee conduct as needed and in accordance with company employee handbook and in coordination with Human Resources.
Travel Demands:
- This position may require occasional travel.

- Exceptional problem solving and logistical skills and ability to organize large amounts of data into useful information for decision making.
- Strong analytical skills to juggle contending issues and develop the best course of action.
- Proficient use of Excel spreadsheets for data/numerical analysis as well as ERP system navigation is essential.
- Goal oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment/handles stress well.
- Ability to interface well with production supervision, purchasing, sales and engineering on a regular basis. Specifically, able to communicate key concepts and operational plans.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Proven ability to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.

- Successful completion of 60-day probationary period.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment required.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting. The majority of the time will be spent sitting in front of a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
The employee works in an office setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
