Configuration Management Practice Lead
The Configuration Management (CM) Practice Leader will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining a robust CMDB, controlling changes, and supporting operational stability. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a deep understanding of CM principles and a proactive approach to managing IT configurations, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Design and maintain a complete and accurate configuration management database (CMDB), ensuring all IT assets and their configuration standards are accurately documented.
Establish entry standards and maintenance procedures for the CMDB and perform regular audits of CMDB records to ensure compliance and identify the need for new controls. Work with IT and business partners to identify and resolve data discrepencies in the CMDB.
Develop and maintain comprehensive CM policies and procedures, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and user experiences. Work with other members of the IT Service Quality organization to implement these improvements.
Analyze internal and industry data and information sources to identify emerging trends, risks, and best practice reccomendations. Specific knowledge of FFIEC, NIST, and CoBIT standards is desirable.
Provide guidance and support to team of IT Asset Management Analysts and asset class SMEs engaged in the CM practice, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively, as well as providing constructive feedback
Develop and regularly produce scorecarding reports for review by executive leadership, including KPIs, KRIs, and ongoing risk assessments of inventoried asset classes, including the tracking of End-of-Life / End-of-Support assets
