The position of sales estimator/project manager would be responsible for maintaining current customer’s needs and proactively pursuing new work through the building of relationships and estimating all aspects of customer’s projects and material needs, all in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The sales estimator/project manager provides budgeting and hard-dollar bidding on assigned profiles/projects as delegated by the V.P. of Sales. The sales estimator/project manager provides or coordinates full estimating services as assigned on all types and sizes of work. The sales estimator/project manager coordinates customer’s orders by preparing approvals, shop releases, work instructions including fabrication needs, finishing needs, packing and shipping instructions, and any other needs the customer or production may require. Some light travel and trade shows are required. Duties include,but are not limited to the items listed below.

- Actively engage existing customers and review current and future needs
- Actively look for and pursue new customers
- Actively pursue lasting relationships in the industry which will lead to new opportunities
- Take-off material requirements from customer provided drawings
- Create estimates from take-offs in order to provide customer quotations
- Manage orders to meet customer requirements
- Be the liaison between the customer and all other departments at the company
- Visit customers periodically in order to help build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must
- Ability to multi task with multiple priorities at the same time is a must
- Ability to anticipate issues or problems before they arise
- Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and die drawings
- Ability to be a team player all the time, but work independently at times
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in manufacturing and/or construction related fields
- Glazing industry experience a plus.
- Aluminum door and door hardware experience a plus
- Aluminum Extrusion experience a plus.
- Excellent communicator
- Close attention to detail
- Strong math skills
- Highly organized
- Computer skills including Microsoft office products.
- AutoCad experience is a plus, but not required
