Job Description: The responsibilities of this role include creating strategic and tactical roadmaps charting the deployment of digital solutions SAP offers while developing compelling business cases to help guide our customer's strategic decision-making activities. The SAP Procurement for Public Sector Architect will provide comprehensive advice to our customers on long- and short-term opportunities for their key strategic imperatives and recommend innovations which anticipate the future direction of both business and IT stakeholders in the Procurement area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate collaborative architecture discussions with our customers IT and business executives
- Work effectively across multiple functions and teams to define clear requirements to achieve business outcomes
- Analyze key business and IT requirements in the Procurement area (with particular focus on public sector specifics)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for the Procurement area encompassing the evolution of enterprise business solution portfolios from current to future state
- Identify improvement potentials within the Procurement Areas (with particular focus on Public Sector capabilities)
- Influence transition states toward joint business outcomes building on SAP solution value
- Analyze key business and IT requirements in the Source to Settle area (with particular focus on complex, long-term contracts (i.e., in the Federal and DoD environment incl. topics like contract flow-down, management of disclosure statements, management of multi-year, high value contracts and maintenance programs)
- Develop of strategic roadmaps for the Source to Settle area to ensure a customer's sourcing and procurement processes support their sustainability goals and values.
- Identify improvement potentials within the Source to Settle Areas - sourcing events, e-tendering, spend transparency, category management, supplier collaboration, payables automation (matching and reconciliation), source determination, vendor performance management and risk management.
- Influence transition states toward joint business outcomes building on SAP solution value.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation - able to lead customer engagements at an executive level
- Proven excellent knowledge in Public Sector Procurement processes and deep implementation knowledge in SAP ECC, S/4HANA and cloud solutions for Procurement for Public Sector
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to estimate the financial impact of various solution architecture alternatives
- 8 years of SAP solution experience, 10 years consulting experience
- 12 years of solution and/or architecture (business & IT) experience
