Job Qualifications and General Duties

Logistics Analysts are responsible for multiple logistical tasks; Logistics Analysts must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in the areas Asset Visibility, GCSS-A (all Logistic Modules), DTS (defense Travel System), Decision Support Tool (DST), GPC (government purchase card) and LIW application suite, Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC) or other applicable LIS (Logistics Information Systems).

  • Must be able to analyze audit requirements, cross reference multiple source documents, coordinate with owning units, provide guidance and timelines for data submission, and then validate data before submission to higher headquarters.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), governing regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to pull GCSS-Army logistics reports and be able to present the data in a format consistent with Battalion and senior level G-Staff formats.
  • Must be able to gain access to Army Logistics Information Systems not previously mentioned in order to provide logistics data, information papers and logistics operation orders to the HHBN XVIII ABN Corps S-4 and senior level Staff.
  • Must be thoroughly proficient in Microsoft Suite products with extensive knowledge of Excel in order to analyze and manipulate data in multiple formats and outputs.
  • Must be extremely analytical and detail-oriented to maintain a high level of data integrity.
  • Must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports/operation orders and working instructions.
  • Shall possess experience in the analysis of CSDP and CMDP to include shortcomings and development of corrective recommendations to Unit Commanders.
  • Shall have access to deployment information such as dates, units, equipment and locations.

              Tess Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) Program

              Administrative storage of materiel

              National Maintenance Program

              Ground Safety Notification System

              Army Corrosion Prevention and Control Program

              Army Battery Program

              Property Accountability

              Financial Liability Investigation Property Loss

              Inventory and inventory adjustments

              Requesting and receiving supplies

              Property responsibility

              Organization Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE)

              Management of Class I, II, III, IIIP, IV, VIII

              Hazardous Materiel

              Excess management

 

Minimum three (3) years of skills in verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, evaluate plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.

 

SECRET security clearance required.
