What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parachute Rigger - DoD-approved Parachute Rigger Course position at Logmet LLC?
LOGMET personnel are required to be graduates of a Department of Defense (DoD)-approved Parachute Rigger Course, specifically tailored for the repair and maintenance of Army-type classified personnel parachute systems. This includes expertise in handling various parachute models such as the T11M, T11R, G11, G12, T10C, as well as extraction parachutes like the 15-foot, 22-foot, 26-foot High Velocity, and 28-foot extraction systems.
- Services include performing maintenance work assignments from written or oral instructions, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and work orders that clearly show what is to be done.
- Services include coordinating with the shop tech and foreman to determine special requirements. Services include selecting common methods, materials, and tools used to accomplish the work.
- Services also include ensuring that completed articles meet requirements for correct dimensions and tolerances and durability. Accomplish inspections, modifications, and repairs that are accomplished in accordance with TM 10-1670 series manuals along with general verbal instructions and shop practices.
In addition to the necessary educational qualifications, it is imperative that all LOGMET employees exhibit no physical limitations that could hinder their ability to fulfill the responsibilities outlined in the hiring contract and the performance of work statement. This requirement is crucial to ensure that personnel can effectively contribute to the safety and integrity of airborne operations, which demand a high level of physical fitness and capability.
Furthermore, to uphold the highest standards of safety and operational effectiveness, all LOGMET employees must successfully pass a drug test prior to employment. Additionally, they will be subject to random drug testing throughout their tenure with the company.
