LOGZONE is seeking an experienced flight surgeon to perform consultation / staff functions at the Major Command (MAJCOM) level. The aerospace medicine physician shall primarily perform the duties as MAJCOM SGPA to include consultation and expert recommendations on the management, administration, and oversight of aeromedical programs for Air Education Training Command. These primary duties include but are not limited to those items listed below.
Essential Functions :
- In-depth understanding of the management of aerospace medicine programs at the enterprise level
- In-depth understanding of flight operations and maintenance
- Experience writing regulatory guidance, reviewing waivers and implementing policy regarding aerospace medicine and leadership experience overseeing aeromedical programs and organizations
- Consultation on the execution of the Aerospace Medicine Enterprise (AME) for the 11 AETC bases and other geographically separated units, to include aerospace medicine, occupational and environmental, preventive medicine and public health
programs.
Other Requirements :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Air Force medical standards to conduct special operational evaluations, including (but not limited to) Preventive Health Assessments for flyers / special duty personnel, initial certification exams for flying / special duty applicants.
