Job Summary:
Performs facility operations and maintenance activities at the CDTF. This positions primary duties are the oversight of facility utility equipment such as motor control centers, variable frequency drives, generators, boilers, chillers, air compressors, etc. Additional duties involve installation, maintenance, assembly, repair, replacement, and adjustments of contactors, relays, light fixtures, etc.
Duty hours 0700 - 0345hrs
Essential Responsibilities:
- Follow all Safety rules and regulations
- Monitors all DDC (Direct Digital control) activities.
- Performs checks on chillers, boilers, air handlers, electrical motors, VFD's, water heaters, exhaust fans, autoclaves, washers, dryers, etc.
- Maintain/repair/replace irrigation system. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists maintenance workers in solving work problems.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, good comprehensive and analytical skills, and excellent organizational skills.
- Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
- Required to occasionally lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to wear a full-face respirator with accompanying PPE and perform duties if needed
- Rotational weekend schedule
- Other duties as assigned by Lead or Management
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of work experience with facility maintenance
- Associate's degree in industrial electricity or a closely related field is highly desirable
