We have an excellent opportunity to join our production team in a production assistant role.
Reports To: Plant Manager and/or Department Supervisor
Direct Reports: N/A
Position Type and Expected Hours:

- 1
st, 2nd or 3rd Shifts
- At times your hours and shift may become staggered, overlapping and/or extending beyond your normal schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to efficiently set up materials to required specifications in a timely manner.
- Inspection of product for visual defects.
- Ensure quality checks are done consistently.
- Availability to package and inspect after adequate training.
- Properly label and sort finished material to avoid inventory confusion
- Must maintain accurate scrap and productivity documentation.
- Maintain clear documentation for any required quality or production metrics.
- Notify supervisor and/or quality in the event of defects or unacceptable product quality
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Keep production running as efficiently as possible, keeping downtime to a minimum.
- Achieve all production goals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to recognize, add and subtract two digit numbers, multiply, divide. Ability to perform these operations using
units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.
- Ability to read measuring instruments such as tape measure.
- Need to be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of times up to 10 hours.
- Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to walk. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be flexible to work overtime as required.
- Demonstrated support of company goals, values, and mission statement.
Required Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, etc.:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- previously related experience and/or training.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
