We have an excellent opportunity to join our production team in a production assistant role.

Reports To: Plant Manager and/or Department Supervisor

Direct Reports: N/A

Position Type and Expected Hours:

• Non-Exempt Position

• Full Time Position

• 1

st, 2nd or 3rd Shifts

• At times your hours and shift may become staggered, overlapping and/or extending beyond your normal schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to efficiently set up materials to required specifications in a timely manner.

• Inspection of product for visual defects.

• Ensure quality checks are done consistently.

• Availability to package and inspect after adequate training.

• Properly label and sort finished material to avoid inventory confusion

• Must maintain accurate scrap and productivity documentation.

• Maintain clear documentation for any required quality or production metrics.

• Notify supervisor and/or quality in the event of defects or unacceptable product quality

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

• Keep production running as efficiently as possible, keeping downtime to a minimum.

• Achieve all production goals.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to speak, read and write English.

• Ability to recognize, add and subtract two digit numbers, multiply, divide. Ability to perform these operations using

units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.

• Ability to read measuring instruments such as tape measure.

• Need to be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of times up to 10 hours.

• Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

• Frequently required to walk. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

• Must be flexible to work overtime as required.

• Demonstrated support of company goals, values, and mission statement.

Required Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, etc.:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• previously related experience and/or training.

Travel: No travel is expected for this position.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
