Purpose: Responsible for the inspection and documentation of materials, products and processes. Maintains quality standards by approving materials, in-process production, and finished products: recording quality results.
Reports To: Quality Manager
Direct Reports: N/A
Position Type and Expected Hours:

· Full Time Position
· 2nd Shift
· At times your hours and shift may become staggered, overlapping and/or extending beyond your normal schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain a polite and courteous manner with coworkers, vendors, auditors, and customers
· Follow all documented procedures and work instructions including but not limited to customer specific requirements, and all Lohmann related processes
· Perform inspections on materials, products and processes per procedures and instructions
· When necessary, demonstrate good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
· Clearly and accurately document the results of inspections on materials, products and processes per procedures and instructions. This can include filling in forms, computer data entry, placing material in the quality hold area, issuing and following up on CAPA forms, and accurate filing of documents in a computer data base.
· Notify the Quality Assurance Manager or their representative of any failure to meet specifications of materials, products or processes.
· Review, file and organize incoming and outgoing CoC/CoA files to ensure incoming and outgoing materials meets product requirements.
· Programming and operating test equipment such as MicroVu automatic CMM, Keyence Image Dimension Measuring System etc, for parts inspection.
· File and maintain records of inspections, audits and retains
· Maintain a neat and orderly work environment as well as complying with 5S guidelines.
· Assist with Regulatory requests/compliance.
· Assist with ISO-related activities (compliance, audits, audit preparation, etc).
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
· Ability to speak, read and write English.
· Ability to recognize, add and subtract two digit numbers, multiply, divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and both American and Metric weight measurements, volume, and distance.
· Ability to understand and use basic inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machine, (CMM) and peel tester.
· Ability to understand product drawings and specifications.
· Need to be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand for extended periods of times up to 10 hours.
· Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
· Frequently required to walk. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
· Must be flexible to work overtime as required.
· Demonstrated support of company goals, values, and mission statement.
Required Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, etc.:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· 2 year degree or 2 years previous inspection experience preferably in the automotive or medical industry
· Experience in an ISO compliant work environment
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
