Scope of Position
As a Distribution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our distribution processes. From managing day-to-day operations to leading a dedicated team, your expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Operations Management
- Oversee daily inbound and outbound HVAC product distribution processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage stock transfers, implement replenishment strategies, and minimize inventory disruptions.
- Optimize warehouse layout, organization, and safety protocols to enhance productivity.
- Implement industry best practices for inventory control, storage, and retrieval.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of warehouse professionals.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to foster a culture of growth and accountability.
- Manage staffing schedules to meet operational demands during peak periods.
Supply Chain Coordination
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and customer service teams to synchronize schedules and ensure product availability.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, cost per delivery, and labor efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on distribution performance, with actionable recommendations.
- Address product shortages, shipping errors, and other challenges, implementing corrective measures.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a safe work environment.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 10 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, with 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in HVAC distribution or similar industries is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in HVAC systems and supply chain operations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making under pressure.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, WMS, and ERP systems.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
