Compensation: $21/per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday (2:30pm - 11pm)

Summary: The 2nd shift Industrial Painter is responsible for applying wet-on-wet paint to metal parts and related components using the wet-on-wet technique. This role ensures that surfaces achieve a high-quality, uniform finish while adhering to safety and manufacturing standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply paint or coatings by hand using the wet-on-wet technique, ensuring uniform coverage and a seamless finish. Adjust application methods as needed based on surface type and paint specifications.
- Operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, and paint mixers. Ensure equipment is set up correctly and functioning properly.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects, consistency, and adherence to manufacturing specifications.
- Perform touch-ups or rework as needed to meet quality standards.
- Manage paint and coating materials, including accurate mixing, measurement, and application. Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or quality issues.
- Use proper protective equipment, and maintain required hygiene for respirator
- Clean paint lines and paint guns and perform other cleaning/preventative maintenance to ensure that painting apparatus remain in working order
- Keep detailed records of paint application processes, material consumption, and equipment maintenance. Document any deviations from standard procedures and corrective actions taken.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Must pass respirator fit test and training.
- MUST HAVE PAINT BOOTH EXPERIENCE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Capable of successfully completing a paint test required.
- Proficient in operating painting equipment and understanding paint properties and application methods. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Proven experience as an industrial painter, with a strong preference for experience using the wet-on-wet technique in a manufacturing environment.
- High level of precision and consistency in applying coatings to meet manufacturing standards and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to industrial painting and chemical handling, with experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Relevant certifications in industrial painting, manufacturing safety, or related fields preferred.

- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Work Environment
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
