Position Overview
The Post Closer plays a critical role in finalizing real estate transactions by reviewing and assembling completed closing packages, disbursing funds, and submitting accurate documents to lenders and county recorders. This position requires a strong understanding of the closing process, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review executed closing packages for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure all documents are properly signed, notarized, and compliant with lender requirements
- Scan and upload closing documents to internal systems and/or portals such as Qualia
- Prepare and submit documents for recording with the appropriate county
- Coordinate with lenders to satisfy post-closing conditions and requirements
- Follow up on trailing documents such as recorded mortgages and final title policies
- Maintain accurate post-closing checklists and timelines
- Communicate with internal team members, lenders, and clients as needed to resolve issues
- Assist with preparing final title policies when applicable
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 year of experience in title or escrow post-closing preferred
- Familiarity with Qualia or other title production software is a strong plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of real estate documents, including deeds, mortgages, title policies, and lender packages
- Strong communication skills for working with internal teams and external parties
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar) or similar office software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
