What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Lola's Restaurant & Bar?
We are looking for a FULL-PART Time SERVER to join our team (LOLA’S Restaurant & Bar). With open availability to work weekends, and holidays.
SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Accountable for the accurate & professional maintenance of all tables while providing exceptional guest service.
- Maintaining constant communication with Server in your assigned section, keeping tabs on where each of your tables are in their meal
- Performing serving, cleaning or stocking duties to facilitate customer service
- Maintaining overall cleanliness of tables while guests are dining
- Responsible for completing all opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures in a timely manner
- Assisting with polishing when needed
- Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive, professional and friendly manner.
- Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.
- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Helps patrons select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.
- Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests.
- Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
- Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
- Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
- Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return.
- Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior restaurant server experience - 2 years
- Maintain all required health, sanitation, and alcohol service certificates
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interpersonal skills
- Night, weekend and Holidays availability
- Comfortable talking to guests as we want all members of our team to be able to answer questions
- Outgoing
- Professional
- Motivated
- Food handlers certified required
Compensation: Hourly $12.00 plus tips | (we pay every WEEK)
