Role Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Merchandise Manager to join our Merchandising team with responsibility for the Bulk division. This omni-channel role will manage both retail and eCommerce assortments (including LolliandPops.com), with full P&L accountability over sales, margin, and inventory turn. Reporting to the VP of Merchandising, this individual will be instrumental in identifying product trends, building compelling assortments, and driving business results in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Assortment Strategy & Category Leadership
The expected starting pay range for this position is $75,000-95,000 per year. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.

Key Responsibilities
Assortment Strategy & Category Leadership
- Develop and execute the assortment strategy for key categories across retail and digital platforms.
- Source and curate unique, trend-forward products to ensure a differentiated, compelling assortment.
- Analyze business performance and social trends to fill assortment gaps and seize opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships; seek out new and emerging supplier partners.
- Negotiate costing, terms, and vendor support for marketing campaigns, tastings, and seasonal events.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain on order decisions and vendor forecasting.
- Lead seasonal planning and product selection for key holidays and moments.
- Evaluate all product launches; provide forecasts, insights, and recommendations to optimize success.
- Monitor sales, margin, and turn metrics; adjust buys and pricing as needed to meet targets.
- Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure successful product rollout and execution.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Store Ops on signage, fixture needs, and promotional campaigns.
- 5 years of experience in a merchandising or buying role; candy or CPG industry experience is a plus
- Brick & mortar retail experience required
- eCommerce buying experience required; Shopify Plus experience preferred
- Strong analytical and strategic skills; highly data-driven decision maker
- Self-starter, fast learner, thrives in an ambiguous and evolving environment
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
