Job description

We are actively searching for caregivers for clients in Shamokin for the following shifts.

Shamokin Clients looking for first and second shifts

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Bathing

Dressing

Toileting

Medication reminders

Feeding as needed

Light house work

Preparing meals

Riding on Rabbit Transit to go to appointments.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years old or older

Certified nurse aide or Home health aide preferred but not necessary

Be in good physical health

Be able to work independently without constant supervision

Express empathy for the ill, injured, frail and impaired.

Drivers license is preferred. Must have reliable transportation to work.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those with disabilities, the elderly, or individuals recovering from illness. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of personal care tasks, ensuring that clients receive the attention and care they deserve in a safe and nurturing environment.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting when necessary.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing personalized care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and other caregivers to deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home community care or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid practices is an asset.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift clients safely and assist them in mobility tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for this role.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
