Job Description
Job Summary: The Program Specialist-Medical will support the Children's Assessment Center (CAC) Strategic Plan and will focus on analysis of medical service delivery system to improve quality, efficiency and access of medical services. This effort will include evaluation of clinic procedures, policies, protocols, techniques, and guidelines to maximize excellence in customer service, and provide safe and sensitive patient care, and professionalism; contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Serves as a liaison and resource in area of specialty for a culturally diverse multidisciplinary healthcare team, patient, and family populations. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum two years of experience required. Minimum one year work experience in the Child Advocacy Center environment is preferred. Minimum of six years experience may be considered in lieu of Degree. Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of child abuse dynamics and the system of care to serve child abuse victims and their families is required. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position. Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
