Job Description
MC: Patient Safety and Reliabi- (Full Time, Days) -
Job Summary: The Director-Clinical Quality Analytics is responsible to provide administrative leadership across Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) Hospitals in the development and implementation of a clinical analytics strategy to support quality strategies and clinical improvement goals. Utilizes clinical, quality, and analytics knowledge in collaborative development and implementation of strategy. Partners with key departments and leadership to develop effective quality analytics infrastructure, measures, and metrics, including support of Nursing Performance and Magnet requirements. Actively oversees and contributes to the validation process for clinical quality analytics projects and data to be consumed in decision making. Oversees and coordinates all positions within Patient Safety and Reliability and Performance Improvement department involved in the provision of clinical quality data development. Serves all sites licensed under LLUH and will be required to travel as needed. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Healthcare related field with a clinical Bachelor's or Associate's Degree, e.g., Nursing, Respiratory Care. Minimum three years leadership or coordination experience in healthcare required with most recent experience in an Acute Care Hospital setting required.
Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of data management and statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, healthcare clinical practices, information technology, and continuous improvement methodologies required. Requires working knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, CMS Value Based Care Programs, and other healthcare regulatory requirements. Must be able to employ advanced analytical skills in the management of clinical quality data. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously; provide visual, written, and oral interpretation of highly specialized clinical data. Make public presentations and communicate effectively and professionally in English, and on the telephone; compose written material; read documents and understand content; use computer and software programs, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Statistical Software, Electronic Health Record. Able to provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, rules and laws; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary to the position; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position. Must maintain a safe driving record.
Licensures and Certifications: Active California License in clinical field required. Green or Black Belt Certification in Six Sigma required within two years of hire. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance required at time of hire.
