Job Description
Job Summary: The Marketing Events Specialist provides marketing support to Loma Linda University Health by coordinating and executing sponsorships and events in cooperation with hospitals and or departments of the system. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business and Marketing or related field required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum two years of marketing experience required; preferably in healthcare marketing.
Knowledge and Skills: Must have a working understanding of databases, word processing, and desktop publishing programs. Tactful, cheerful sensitive, diplomatic, team player, and a willingness to work through a deadline (overtime often required). Able to work in intensive support staff activities, coordinated into high productivity, goal/deadline atmosphere, including, but not limited to the following: Strategic thinker; Clear and concise communicator; Detail oriented; Oversees multiple projects and follows through with details; Understanding of and adherence to deadlines; Persistent and assertive. Able to recognize faces and voices of visitors, hearing on the telephone and in person. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
