Shared Services : Post Award- (Full-Time, Day Shift) -
Job Summary : The Post Award Assistant supports Post Award by overseeing daily financial operations. Processes invoices, tracks grant expenses, and maintains accurate records. Supports Post Award with administrative tasks, demonstrating strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and effective communication skills. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience : Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Minimum one year of bookkeeping experience or related field required.
Knowledge and Skills : Proficient use of 10-key or calculator and personal computer (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint software). Quicken financial software knowledge preferred. Good clerical and filing skills. Detail oriented; understand accounting and math principles; capable of making good decisions; comprehend verbal and written instructions; have a clear understanding of and use the chain of command. Requires adequate visual, hearing, olfactory and tactile acuity to proficiently perform essential duties. Read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate / troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
