Job Summary
- Lifeguard needed for seasonal, private swim club, May through September
Qualifications
- Experienced swimmer
- 15 years of age or older
- American Red Cross-certified in Lifesaving, CPR, First Aid, and AED
Duties
- Primary responsibility is to prevent drowning and injuries from occurring by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors in the pool and the Club
- Must be able to effectively communicate Club policies and the reasons for their existence
- Perform rescues and administer first aid, CPR, AED, and related responses as needed
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities
- Perform routine rounds and similar duties
- Maintain cleanliness and safety

- Disciplined, punctual, attentive, and motivated
- Communicate regularly with colleagues and supervisors
- A courteous and positive attitude toward patrons and staff
- Participate in trainings
- Attend staff meetings
Availability
- Must be able to work 16-40 hours per week
- Season runs daily, May 11 – Sept 29, 2024
- Hours range from 6:30am to 10:30pm
Compensation
- Pay ranges from $12 to $18 per hour commensurate with experience
- Optional $30 per 30-minute private swimming lessons during non-working hours
- Reimbursement for lifeguard certification costs
