Outpatient mental health facility looking for an experienced Part-Time Intake Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to assist in the clinic's daily operations. Position has a range from interpersonal interaction to clerical office duties.
Position Status: Approximately 3-4 days/week - 24-32 hours (flexible hours)
Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $30.00/hour - commensurate on experience
Reports To: Administrative Director
About: Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic is a nonprofit, mental health organization that provides accessible, low-cost, mental health therapy services for our community (Sonoma County). Lomi has provided these services for over 35 years.
Lomi is seeking an Intake Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Administrative Director and Clinical Director. In this role, tasks vary daily, and may include answering the telephone, scheduling Intake Telephone Appointments, conducting Intakes with clients, maintaining documents/records, data entry, billing, filing, scanning, and other special projects. Prefer someone with experience and interest working in a mental health setting.
We are looking for a person who is passionate about serving in the mental health field, and who has empathy and kindness. Also essential are organizational skills, communication abilities, and time management skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Answer calls, respond to emails and voicemails
- Perform data entry functions into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Provide Intake duties as assigned, verify client's insurance eligibility
- Provide assistance in the accounting and payroll functions
- Assist with mailings, campaigns, year-end letters, etc.
- Scanning, filing, and record keeping
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Two years of college-level coursework and two years of increasingly responsible experience providing clerical and administrative support in healthcare, social services, or related environment
- Experience assisting culturally diverse and LGBTQIA clients
- Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and collaboration when working with clients
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Record-keeping, filing, and information organizing techniques
- Understanding of confidentiality in a health care setting
- Bilingual is preferred but not required
