We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Fixed Asset Accountant with expertise in the Oracle Fixed Asset Module to join our finance team.
Job Summary: The Fixed Asset Accountant will manage the company's fixed asset accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficiency. This role will focus on the proper accounting of fixed assets throughout their lifecycle, utilizing the Oracle Fixed Asset Module to track acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fixed Asset Accounting & Reporting:
- Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle, including asset capitalization, depreciation, impairment, disposal, and transfers.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions in the Oracle Fixed Asset Module.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements related to fixed assets.
- Review and reconcile fixed asset accounts to ensure proper allocation and alignment with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Oracle Fixed Asset Module Management:
- Utilize Oracle Fixed Asset Module for asset tracking, reporting, and depreciation calculations.
- Maintain asset records in Oracle, ensuring accurate classification, location, and status.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of the Oracle Fixed Asset Module to optimize performance and streamline processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any Oracle Fixed Asset Module issues, ensuring continuous system functionality.
- Compliance & Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting principles and internal policies, including tax reporting requirements for fixed assets.
- Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits related to fixed assets.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., tax, procurement, and operations) to maintain accurate fixed asset data.
- Asset Management:
- Perform periodic physical asset verification and reconcile with the Oracle Fixed Asset Module records.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval for all asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
- Process Improvement:
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of fixed asset accounting and reporting.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and Oracle system updates.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting.
- Proven experience with the Oracle Fixed Asset Module is required.
