Information Technology Field Engineer

We are seeking a skilled IT Field Engineer for a full-time, permanent position, based out of Texas. They are seeking an adept Field Engineer to oversee local and regional locations within the Houston area. Compensation is up to $80,000 salaried plus benefits. Please apply with updated resume!

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced onsite technical support at retail and distribution center locations throughout the state, encompassing a range of IT infrastructure and systems.
• Manage and maintain enterprise-level IT components including server virtualization environments, network configurations, and storage solutions.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Desktop Systems, Networking equipment, and Small Data Closets.
• Execute wiring, infrastructure setup, and resolution of complex tech issues, ensuring robust system performance and security.
• Lead onsite tech upgrades and implementations, focusing on system optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Maintain operational excellence in Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure cloud services.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT administration with a strong background in desktop systems management, network administration, and cloud computing.
• Hands-on expertise with VMware virtualization, SAN/NAS storage solutions, and Cisco network systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft systems stack including Windows Server, SCCM, and PowerShell scripting for automation and routine tasks.
• Capability to adapt to field work, with readiness to travel and manage multiple sites effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage both routine maintenance and emergency response scenarios.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, suitable for directing field operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
