Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with [GAAP/IFRS/other standards].
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of financial records.
- Support the budgeting process by providing insights and detailed analysis.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and refine financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and reviews.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, promoting professional growth and skill development.
- Act as a point of expertise for complex accounting issues.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA required.
- 10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, including a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and financial principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
