Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in bridging financial planning, operational analysis, and accounting. This role supports budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning while ensuring accurate financial reporting in alignment with GAAP. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment and understands cost accounting, inventory, and production metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations and accounting teams to deliver actionable insights on financial and operational performance
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including BOMs, labor, and overhead allocations
- Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and KPIs
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Assist in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Provide financial models and scenario analysis to support business initiatives and capital projects
- Track and analyze inventory trends, production efficiency, and plant-level financials
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, and engineering to ensure financial alignment
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Assist in ad hoc projects, including system upgrades, cost savings initiatives, and financial process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
- 5 years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Proficient in financial systems (ERP – SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar) and advanced Excel modeling skills
