We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in GAAP, proficient in Microsoft Excel, and experienced with accounting systems.

Salary: $60,000 to $65,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and monitor all accounting transactions related to Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), billing, and collections within the company’s ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central).
- Manage the full A/P cycle including invoice processing, check runs, and vendor communication to ensure timely payments.
- Oversee A/R functions including customer invoicing and routine follow-up for collections on outstanding balances.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of account reconciliations and financial schedules.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and conduct variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations.
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax reports for multiple states.
- Maintain organized records for all A/P and A/R transactions, ensuring documentation is accessible and audit-ready.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting procedures.
- Provide management with accurate, timely financial reports and support special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Occasionally assist with operational tasks such as mail runs or bank deposits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access; experience with Google Workspace is a plus.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
