6.25 hours a day with some flexibility
Our schools have both non-program Special Education Assistants, that work with students that have lesser needs, and Program Special Education Assistants that work with students that have higher needs.
Starting hourly rates for non-program assistants are $17.12-$17.41.
Program assistants' rates are $17.62-$17.91. Program Assistants receive an additional $0.50 per hour.

You receive an additional $0.50 per hour if :
- you have taken or do take RBT training offered free by the district
- work in a program position
and new this year :
THAT IS A POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL $1.50 PER HOUR!
Also new this year you can receive up to $700 Education Incentive Reimbursement available at the start of employment. This is prorated by the hours that you work. You can also apply for additional reimbursement in May if funds are available. You can take advantage of this to become a Paraeducator II.
