Position Overview: The Credit Underwriter will conduct phone interviews, analyze credit, and review necessary documents to make sound decisions for truck financing.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (In office/Onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Assist with any questions regarding application status
• Contact applicants to collect necessary financial information
• Work through queues to the point of completion daily
• Discuss and identify potential risks to customer as a lessee
• Review applicant’s business plan to validate their success
• Use credit tools to support decisions for approval and denial
• Notate all conversations with customer and maintain adequate supporting documentation
• Provide timely direction to applicants swiftly gather documentation
• Educate applicants on business plan requirements and industry standards
• Aid fellow departments in obtaining information from applicants

Qualifications:

• 2 years Credit Underwriting or relative experience preferred (not required)
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
• Ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently
• Strong customer service skills and computer skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate products, procedures, and system information necessary to positively influence production
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 4-year course of study is preferred
