Position Overview: The Shop Assistant will be part of a growing team that is focused on making sure our shop is organized and cost efficient. They will also work closely with accounting, sales, and purchasing making sure our inventory, invoices, work orders, and shop processes are accurate and done the most cost-efficient way.
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:
- Assist manager in the daily scheduling of mechanics by job
- Answer phones and greet vendors, visitors, Wholesale Customers
- Check all frontline trucks for proper detailing when picturing for frontline
- Manage all truck and tire inventory and be able to report on a monthly basis
- File company forms and invoices
- Participate in various maintenance projects as needed
- Handle all work orders and invoices submitted
- Parts ordering
- Uniform ordering for mechanics and shop personnel
- Coordinating with Sales for truck deliveries
- Handling GPS units and Warranty documents
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Drive the shop truck for pickups and organizational purposes (must have a clean MVR)
- Dependability in this role to ensure consistent performance and reliability in meeting job responsibilities and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 1 years experience in an administrative or customer service role.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Proficient computer skills (typing, MS Office, etc.).
- Be organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have the aptitude to learn about the transportation industry and semi-truck parts.
- Driver’s License is required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle record check and not have any DUI or Drug Convictions in the last five years.
- Effectively read, write & understand verbal instructions in English.
