Job Description: As a Pediatric Front Desk Coordinator, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients and their families, guiding them through their treatment journey. You will work closely with the dentist, clinical team, and office staff to ensure that all aspects of the patients treatment plan are communicated clearly and efficiently. The Front Desk Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling appointments, explaining treatment options, verifying insurance, and managing patient flow to ensure smooth and timely visits.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and their families as they arrive.
- Review and explain treatment plans to parents/guardians and answer any questions they may have.
- Present and discuss treatment options, fees, and payment plans with patients and families.
- Coordinate patient schedules and follow-up appointments to ensure optimal treatment timelines.
- Verify dental insurance benefits and assist with insurance claims and billing questions.
- Process treatment authorizations and ensure all necessary documentation is collected.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that patients feel supported and informed throughout their treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Educate patients and families on dental procedures and preventive care.
- Assist with managing patient flow and ensuring efficient office operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a pediatric dental office or dental treatment coordination is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance, treatment plans, and patient scheduling.
- Exceptional communication skills, especially when working with children and their families.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
