Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Pediatric or General Dentist to treat children of all ages in a friendly, supportive environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing pediatric dental patients while fostering a positive relationship with kids and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate dental care to children, from infants to teenagers, including preventive care, restorative treatments, and minor orthodontic services.
- Perform routine exams and evaluations, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patients' needs.
- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventative care.
- Create a fun, stress-free environment for young patients to help alleviate any dental anxiety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all applicable dental regulations and standards.
- Work closely with a team of dental hygienists, dental assistants, and office staff to deliver efficient and high-quality care.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay updated with the latest pediatric dentistry techniques and best practices.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Active dental license in the state of Washington or the ability to obtain licensure.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred, but not required. General dentists with a passion for working with children are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining procedures and comforting children.
- Strong patient management skills, with the ability to work effectively with kids and create a positive, fun atmosphere.
