Job Description
Lone Star is seeking an experienced professional Software Developer/Engineer to develop and integrate 3rd party application with US DoD mission planning system. The role will be a member of the Agile Team. Applicants will need to be easily adapted to desktop/laptop, Edge server and Cloud operating environments. Due to government clearance requirements, this position requires that the applicant be a United States Citizen. Legal residents do not meet this requirement. Due to sensitivity of work and data, this position will perform work on site. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Define, build, test and deploy scalable web applications and microservicesWork in a DevSecOps environmentDevelop reusable, componentized UIs that can be shared across the enterprisePerform Peer Reviews, Code Deployment, Pull Requests and code updates when it fails in the pipelineParticipate in Sprint Planning, backlog grooming, story points estimation, review/retrospective, and demoCollaborate with other software engineersAdhere to legal and regulatory standardsAdhere to company data guidelinesOther duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Degree, or imminent degree award, in related field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics) OR an unrelated degree, or imminent degree award, and equivalent experience demonstrating software development in a government, scientific, or technical environment. Must have or be capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance within 6 months from hire date. This requires US citizenship. 2 years’ experience in software development with at least two programming languages, one of which must be from the following list: C, C , C#, Java, Python, Go, or Rust.JavaScript / TypeScript experience
