Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team. Panel work will include mounting equipment, extremely neat wiring of equipment, reading and understanding schematics and wire diagrams, using utility and common industrial practices in panel construction. Working with a wide variety of tooling required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and components, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assembling, fabricating, and troubleshooting electrical components while adhering to safety standards and quality control measures.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics and blueprints to assemble and fabricate electrical systems in CNC control panels.
- Perform wiring tasks, ensuring proper connections and functionality of electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment such as calipers, soldering irons, and ohmmeters for assembly and testing.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop prototypes or improve existing designs.
- Understand quality of work and implications of costs related to mistakes and rework.
- Ability to work effectively as a team or independently with minimal oversight.
- Positive interactions with staff, customers, and other vendors required.
- Diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of components, assemblies, or systems..
- Install electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, or programmable logic controllers.
- Read, learn, understand all types of control systems that may be of new or old design as well as utility style protective relay panels
- Document processes, findings, and modifications made during assembly or repair.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical wiring, assembly, and fabrication of electronic components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design.
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in electrical work, including soldering equipment. Perfered you supply some of your own hand tools, (some supplied).
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
