Job Summary
The family is seeking a long-term, career nanny to provide consistent after-school care for their 3.5-year-old son. Responsibilities include school pickup, preparing healthy, dye-free snacks and meals, and assisting with the bath and bedtime routine/tidying of toys. The ideal candidate is active, engaged, and comfortable maintaining a screen-free environment. Experience in early childhood education and bilingual abilities (any language) are highly valued, as their son attends a Montessori program during the day. While the role is currently part-time, there is potential for it to become full-time in the future should the nanny be open to incorporating housekeeping duties.
Hours: Monday-Friday 1:45pm-7:00pm
Pay: $20 /hr based on experience
Children: 1 (3.5 year old boy)
Start Date: As Soon As Available
Responsibilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities to encourage intellectual development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's play areas
- Follow parents' guidelines for child behavior and discipline
- Transport children to and from activities as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, such as in daycare, preschool, teaching, or previous nanny roles
- Knowledge of first aid procedures for children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize children's needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents
- Willingness to undergo a background check
- Ability to stay off your phone and actively engage with children
- Prior experience working with children with special needs (RBTs/Paraprofessionals/SPED teachers) are encouraged to apply
