Job Summary
Family is looking for a nanny to care for their one year old daughter. The dad works each night until 6:00pm, and the mom works between 2-4 shifts at the hospital each week. The schedule will vary between 7:45am-6:00pm, but will never be less than 20 hours in a week, and never exceed 30 hours between 2-4 days each week. The position would be ideal for someone with an open schedule that is not looking to work full-time hours. The schedule would be known 3 weeks in advance, and comes out in 6 week increments. Light house chores would include unloading the dishwasher, cleaning the high chair, picking up toys, folding laundry, and some meal prep when the baby is sleeping. The family does plan to grow their family, and would ideally have a nanny long-term that would like to grow with them.
Children: One Girl (1 year old)
Hours: Monday-Friday: Between 7:30am-6:00 pm 2-3 days/week
Responsibilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities to encourage intellectual development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's play areas
- Follow parents' guidelines for child behavior and discipline
- Transport children to and from activities as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, such as in daycare, preschool, teaching, or previous nanny roles
- Knowledge of first aid procedures for children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize children's needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents
- Willingness to undergo a background check
- Ability to stay off your phone and actively engage with children
- Prior experience working with children with special needs (RBTs/Paraprofessionals/SPED teachers) are encouraged to apply
