Lone Star Riding Club, a sister company to Lone Star Ranch, is seeking a passionate and experienced Equine Program Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of Lone Star Riding Club.
We are an educational organization focused on fostering teamwork and sportsmanship through equine riding, mounted sports, and animal care. Our programs help young and adult members build leadership skills, confidence, and responsibility while cultivating a strong sense of community.
The club offers a variety of equine activities, including horseback riding lessons, pony club meetings, ranch camps, and birthday parties. The Equine Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing the staff, scheduling lessons, organizing events, and ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all club members. This position requires strong leadership and managerial skills, excellent horsemanship, and superb organizational skills to foster a welcoming and educational environment for riders of all ages and skill levels.
Daily Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Lone Star Riding Club, including the lesson schedule, camps, and special events like birthday parties.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and best practices in horsemanship.
- Comfortable & quick using digital software such as Mindbody.
Program Management:
- Organize and manage lesson schedules for riding instructors and club members.
- Oversee the development and execution of engaging programs for the Pony Club, ranch camps, and other equine-related events.
- Oversee the coordination and execution of children’s birthday parties, ensuring a fun and memorable experience for all attendees.
Staff Supervision:
- Manage and schedule riding instructors, camp counselors, and support staff.
- Ensure staff are trained in safety protocols and maintain a positive and professional atmosphere.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching as needed.
Customer Service:
- Serve as the main point of contact for parents, riders, and clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Maintain strong relationships with riding club members and encourage club engagement.
Event Planning:
- Plan and organize club events, including horse shows, camps, and clinics.
- Coordinate logistics and resources for each event, ensuring all activities run smoothly.
- Equine Experience: Strong background in horsemanship, riding instruction, or equine education.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a dynamic environment.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with riders and their families.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational / multitasking skills with experience managing schedules, staff, inbox management and events.
- Safety-Oriented: Knowledge of equine safety standards and best practices in riding instruction and event management.
- Previous experience in managing riding clubs, stables, or equine programs.
- Experience working with children’s riding programs or camps.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
