Job Title: Plant Associate
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate plant-based shredding and baling equipment
- Ability to perform basic shredder maintenance
- Must comply with all company standards
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other employees to do the same
- Safely operate a forklift and other equipment in order to complete tasks
- Responsible for loading/unloading trucks
- Works cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and co-workers in order to complete tasks
- Maintain the highest degree of security and control of customers’ confidential material presented for destruction at all times
- Ability to interact and communicate with customers with the highest degree of professionalism
- Ensures that the plant is maintained in a clean, neat, orderly fashion
Skills and Specifications
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and completely
- Must have the ability to work independently and self motivation
- Must be able to load and unload materials using a forklift or other provided tools and equipment
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication
Physical Job Requirements
- Must be able to consistently lift material up to 70 lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- The employee is required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear, push and or pull up to 70 lbs., twist and/or turn, reach and pull above shoulder height

Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree from an accredited institution
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- 1 year relevant work experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
