Job Title: National Honor Society Co-Sponsor
Reports to: Secondary Principal
Qualifications: Competence in directing induction and activities for students who want to enter National Honor Society (NHS).
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performs all duties necessary for the NHS program to function.
- Update and maintain NHS standards for election/enrollment.
- Organize election process in a timely, organized manner.
- Organize and direct the induction ceremony sometime during the school year. Preference would be between November and March.
- Makes arrangements for any state or national entry fees as needed.
- Organizes meetings, activities, and any fundraisers for NHS inside or outside the school building.
- Keeps students, parents, teachers, and administration aware of anything NHS is doing as an organization.
- Treats students, parents, teachers, and administration with respect when dealing with these groups.
- Is willing to do other duties as assigned and necessary to see a successful program.
Terms of Employment: Compensation and duration of the duties to be established by the Board.
Assessment: This job description serves a general guideline for our sponsor. This serves as an evaluation template for the sponsor. The Secondary Principal will be involved in the evaluation of the coaches.
