What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yearbook Advisor position at Lone Tree CSD?
Position Summary:
The Yearbook Advisor oversees the creation, design, and production of the Lone Tree Middle School/High School yearbook. This includes working directly with students, coordinating with Jostens (our yearbook publishing partner), and ensuring coverage of school events throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a student yearbook staff, including assigning roles and managing deadlines.

Coordinate photography coverage of school events (sports, concerts, dances, academic activities, etc.), including scheduling student photographers or attending events directly.

Manage the yearbook timeline and submission deadlines in collaboration with Jostens.

Organize and oversee yearbook content including layout, design, photography, and written content.

Facilitate training on photography, editing, and use of Jostens' yearbook design platform.

Collaborate with school staff, coaches, and club sponsors to ensure all groups are represented.

Promote and manage yearbook sales, including marketing efforts and order distribution.

Communicate with administration about budget needs, deadlines, and student involvement.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with middle or high school students.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Familiarity with or willingness to learn digital design or photography is helpful.
